Offstring (4A): Offstring 4A Yoyo.
Most players outgrow the first yoyo in two to three months. Plan for it - the Complete Yoyo Set has both stages in one box.
The first throw is the trick every other trick is built on.
1. Wind the string fully onto the yoyo.
2. Hold it palm up, string on your middle finger.
3. Throw straight down with a smooth flick of the wrist.
4. Tug to return (responsive) or bind (unresponsive), and catch palm down.
5. Repeat until it is boring. Then learn the Sleeper.
From there, the yoyo tricks in learning order.
Learn yoyo tricks1. Take the old string off.
2. Open the loop at the end of the new string and slide it around the bearing.
3. Cut to length: with the yoyo on the floor, the string should reach your belly button.
4. Tie a slipknot for your middle finger and pull it snug.
5. Throw once to check the spin.
Change strings often - every 30 to 120 minutes of practice on a new string is normal. Keep a pack of yoyo strings with the yoyo.
