What we collect

Your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, what you ordered, what you paid, and your order history.

Why

To take your order, deliver it, invoice you, handle returns and warranty claims, and answer you when you get in touch.

Legal basis

Performing our contract with you. For invoices and accounting records, a legal obligation under Czech law.

Payment

Card payments go through Stripe and PayPal payments through PayPal. They receive your payment details directly. We never see or store your card number.

Delivery

We pass your name, address, email and phone number to the carrier delivering your order: Packeta, GLS, USPS or FedEx.

How long

Invoices and accounting records are kept for 10 years, as Czech law requires.

What we collect

Your email address and username, the videos and photos you upload, your comments, votes and chat messages, the tricks you have landed, your Skill Coins balance, your device type and identifiers, and your approximate location.

Why

To give you an account, run the trick ladder, show your content to other players, let the community vote and comment, award Skill Coins, send you notifications, and keep the app working.

Legal basis

Performing our contract with you. For location data, your consent, which you can withdraw in your device settings.

Your uploads are public

Videos and photos you upload can be seen by anyone on the internet, not only by other SkillAddicts users. Think about what is in the background and who else is in shot before you post.

Push notifications

We send notifications about your progress, the community and new features. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.

Deleting your account

When you delete your account, we delete your data. Your Skill Coins are lost and cannot be restored.

If you sign up, we send you emails about new products, restocks and tricks. We use Leadhub to send them.

With your marketing consent, Leadhub also sees which products you viewed on our website, so our emails can match them (see section 6).

Legal basis

Your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

We do not sell your email address to anyone.

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some we need to run the shop. The rest only run if you say yes in the cookie banner. Nothing non-essential runs until you agree.

You can change your mind at any time in the cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. Saying no to analytics and marketing does not affect the shop: you can still browse, buy and log in. Your choice is kept for 12 months, then we ask again.

Necessary - always on

These run the cart, login, checkout, your currency choice and security. The site does not work without them, so they do not need consent.

When you pay with PayPal, PayPal sets its own cookies on its own pages. Card payments may also run a security check (hCaptcha) for Stripe.

Analytics - only with your consent

Shows us which pages and tutorials people actually use, so we build more of what works. No ads.

Marketing - only with your consent

Measures our ads and tailors our emails to what you browsed.

Leadhub also keeps a short history of the products you viewed in your browser’s local storage. Withdrawing marketing consent deletes these cookies and that history from your browser straight away.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager loads the tools above. It loads on every page but sets no cookies of its own, and it starts none of them until you agree to their category.

YouTube videos and Google Maps

Videos and maps are shown as a picture first. Nothing loads from YouTube or Google until you press play or “Show map”. YouTube then plays from youtube-nocookie.com, and Google may set its own cookies.

In the app

We use Firebase (notifications, crash reporting, app analytics), PostHog (product analytics) and RevenueCat (subscriptions). The app asks for its own permissions on your device.

We share data only with organisations that help us run the business:

We do not sell your personal data.

We may also share data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

Our servers are in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. Content is delivered through a global content delivery network, which means it may be cached on servers in other countries.

Some of the organisations above are based outside the EU, mainly in the United States. Where data is transferred there, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Under GDPR you can:

• See what data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
• Restrict how we use it
• Object to us using it, including for marketing
• Take it with you, in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority:

You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live.

The SkillAddicts app is for users aged 13 and over.

In some countries a parent or guardian must give permission for a younger user’s data to be processed - 15 in Czechia, and up to 16 in some EU countries. If you are under that age where you live, get your parent or guardian’s permission before using the app.

We do not verify age when you register. If we learn that a user is below the age at which they can use the app or give consent themselves, we ask for parental permission or close the account.

We use encrypted connections, keep access to personal data limited to people who need it, and rely on established providers for payments, hosting and delivery.

No system is completely secure. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not profile you in ways that produce legal effects.

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you.
