Things people ask
Contact usThe yoyo kit holds a Starter Yoyo in responsive setup, ten yoyo strings, a bearing removal tool, a concave ball bearing for unresponsive play, a Single Pouch, a sticker set and the free SkillAddicts app. You need nothing else to start throwing.
It is worth it if you want the unresponsive step already in the box. The Starter Yoyo on its own is €11.99 with three strings. The kit is €19.99 and adds the concave ball bearing, the removal tool, ten strings and a Single Pouch. Bought separately, everything in the kit costs €32.95.
Not for the first few months. With the concave bearing fitted, the Starter Yoyo runs unresponsive and handles beginner to advanced tricks. A metal yoyo like the Pro Yoyo spins longer and stays flatter, which starts to matter once your combos get long.
From about age eight, and it suits kids and adults alike. The responsive setup returns on a tug, so the first sessions end in landed throws rather than a dead yoyo on the floor. The concave bearing can stay in the pouch until binds are the next thing to learn.
Take the fitted bearing out with the removal tool in the box and put the concave ball bearing in its place. The concave profile pulls the string into the centre of the bearing, so a tug no longer catches and the yoyo returns on a bind instead. The swap takes about a minute.
The SkillAddicts app is free for everyone, and this kit covers a big part of it. On the responsive setup, the Starter Yoyo takes you through Yoyo Basics, Throwing Tricks, Picture Tricks, String Tricks and Fast Challenge. Fit the concave bearing and it opens Unresponsive Yoyoing, Frontstyle, Sidestyle, Slacks and Hops.
