Contact usA concave yoyo bearing has a curved inner race that pulls the string into the centre of the bearing. That cuts the friction between string and bearing walls, so the yoyo holds spin far longer and stops returning when you tug it. The return then has to be a bind.
It fits any yoyo that takes a standard C size bearing, which covers most modern yoyos. Check the one already in yours: if it is a size C, this is a straight swap with a bearing removal tool. If your yoyo takes a different size, this one will not seat on the axle.
The Starter Yoyo at €11.99 plus this bearing at €4.99 is a genuine unresponsive setup for €16.98, and it is the honest cheap route into bind tricks. The Pro Yoyo is €54.99, bimetal with steel weight rings and over seven minutes of spin, which the Starter Yoyo will not match.
Either the string is not looped onto the bearing correctly, or the bearing needs cleaning or replacing.
Not out of the packet. It arrives pre-cleaned and dry, which is the state that gives an unresponsive return, so it is ready to throw as it is. Later, when dust and string fibre build up and the spin shortens, the shield free design lets you clean it without taking it apart.
