Why is the Starter YoYo the best yoyo for beginners?
Because we designed it with pro players who teach people how to yoyo around the world. It spins long enough to learn all the beginner and intermediate yoyo tricks, and the responsive setup returns the yoyo with a simple tug. Add a durable plastic body that survives the floor, a machined steel centre with stainless steel ball bearings for a smooth spin, and a size that suits kids and adults alike. Is this yoyo good for kids?
Yes. The responsive setup and the durable body are exactly what a child needs – the yoyo returns on its own and it survives being dropped. It works from about 8 upwards, and plenty of adults learn on the same one.
Does this yoyo have a ball bearing?
Yes. Three of them. One main bearing spins on the string, and two side bearings let you hold the yoyo while it is still spinning – that is what makes fingerspins possible on a beginner yoyo. All stainless steel, seated in a machined steel centre.
What is included in the packaging?

My yoyo does not come back. What am I doing wrong?
Almost always the throw. A weak throw does not spin fast enough to return, so throw harder and straighter down. Then use a short, quick tug rather than a long slow pull – the response system needs the snap. If the yoyo tilts to one side, that is the throw too, not a fault.
Will I outgrow this yoyo?
Not as fast as you might think. Drop in a concave bearing and the same yoyo goes unresponsive, which is what binds and all advanced yoyo tricks need. So it carries you from the first throw well into intermediate play – you are not buying a toy you will replace in a month. The Starter Yoyo Set includes that bearing and the tool to fit it.

What string can I use with this yoyo?
Standard polyester yoyo strings work best. We recommend bright colored SkillAddicts yoyo strings for the best visibility.
How to attach string to a yoyo and to my finger?
Place the string between the second and third knuckle of your middle finger for the best control. Tighten the slipknot on your finger to stop the string from sliding off.
Do not tie a knot on the yoyo. Untwist the end of the string to open the loop. Place the loop around the bearing. The loop closes on its own once you release it.
How long should a yoyo string be?
Most players use a length from their waist to the ground. But you can adjust the length to match your style and comfort.
How can I learn yoyo tricks?
Use the SkillAddicts app. It walks you through tricks and levels in a simple way. You learn step by step and get guidance from the pro players.
What should I do when my yoyo does not come back?
Make sure your yoyo spins with enough force to return to your hand. Weak throws cause most return problems.
Use a quick, short pull when you want the yoyo to come back. Long, slow pulls do not trigger the response system and the yoyo will not return.
What should I do when my yoyo tilts to one side?
This happens when the throw is off. The yoyo tilts because of the player, not because it is broken. Throw it straight, not sideways. Use a strong throw for faster spin. Faster spin increases stability and keeps the yoyo on its line.
