The trick in steps
- Keep contact with the string
Start with a Trapeze. Through every hop, keep your non-throw hand index finger touching the string.
- Control the height
Control the height of each hop with your non-throw hand as the yoyo leaves the string, guiding it along. The closer your hands are to each other, the higher the hop.
- Repeat and bind
Repeat the hops as many times as you like, then do a Sidestyle Bind to get the yoyo back to your hand.
Tips
- Shoot the yoyo up with your non-throw hand
- Land the yoyo back by pulling your hands apart
- Push on the string with your non-throw hand to bring the yoyo back onto Trapeze
- Move your hands together to maximize the height
- Move your hands towards each other by at least half the string length
Common mistakes
- Not moving your hands together
- Yoyo moving only a few centimeters up
- Yoyo falling instead of landing on Trapeze
