One Handed Star Yoyo
One Handed Star is an old school picture trick. Drop the yoyo, run the right combination of finger moves on the string, and the star appears.

The trick in steps
- Use your throw hand only
Work this one entirely on your throw hand. Start by lifting the string with your thumb.
- Wrap the ring finger
Move your ring finger inward to wrap the string around it once, keeping your palm facing forward.
- Lift with your index finger
Lift the string with your index finger.
- Wrap the pinky
Wrap the string around your pinky the same way you did with your ring finger.
- Lift with your middle finger
Lift the string again with your middle finger.
- Reveal the star
Place the string on top of your thumb, then adjust your fingers to show the star.

- Practice the trick first with the yoyo not spinning
- Throw hard and straight
- Use your other hand to adjust the string and reveal the star
- Avoid string twists on any finger

- Catching the yoyo before the string is fully wound
