The trick in steps
- Push the string forward
Use this bind after a Sleeper. Place your non-throw hand index finger against the middle of the string and push it forward.
- Reach around the yoyo
Move your throw hand around to the front of the yoyo so the yoyo is lying on top of the string.
- Pinch the string
Pinch the string between your throw hand fingers.
- Lift your throw hand
Keep the string pinched, wrap it slightly around the yoyo and towards you, and lift your throw hand at the same time. You will feel the tension tighten across the yoyo gap.
- Release and tug
Let go of the pinched string and tug up at the same moment to catch the yoyo.
Tips
- Pinch the string on your non-throw hand
- Keep the string pinched until the yoyo binds
- The string needs to be fully wound into the yoyo
- Do the bind in the correct direction
Common mistakes
- Doing a Frontstyle Bind from a Breakaway throw
- Binding with the yoyo spinning in the wrong direction
