How Yoyo Works?
The yo-yo's motion of going up and down and spinning is facilitated by its unique design and the physics of rotational motion. The whole yoyo technology and way how yoyo works is all about laws of physics.
How Yoyos Come Up?
When you throw a yo-yo downward, the force of gravity pulls it towards the ground. As the yo-yo descends, the string unwinds from the axle or ball bearing, allowing it to travel freely. When the yo-yo reaches the end of the string, its momentum causes it to swing back upward. Then the string begins to wind back around the axle or ball bearing, pulling the yo-yo back towards your hand.
How Yoyos Spin?
The spinning motion of the yo-yo is generated by the initial force applied when it's thrown. As you flick your wrist to release the yo-yo, you impart rotational kinetic energy to it. This energy is stored in the yo-yo's spinning motion. The ball bearing, minimizes friction and allows the yo-yo to spin freely. As the yo-yo spins it contributes to its stability and enabling tricks and maneuvers.
How Fast Yoyos Spin?
This depends on a yoyo and skill of a yo-yo player but modern high performance yoyos with ball bearings can spin around 8000 rpm.
